• LABELLING INFO: in Europe we use the "E number" system for approved food additives.  In the USA, they use an FD&C number (Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act) to show the colouring had been approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). Imported US colourings sometimes have an additional label, converting the American FD&C numbers to European E numbers
