• following the demise of BFP, many customers were left struggling to find stocks of BFP brand mixes.  BFP Madeira cake mix was manufactrued by Macphie of Glenbervie - the same people who make this excellent product
• really decent quality 'add water' cake mix . . . just add water and margarine (or butter)
• used by dozens of Cake Stuff customers as a general sponge mix - has a much better flavour and texture than standard supermarket sponge mixes
• add a little more baking powder if you prefer a lighter texture
• freeze - thaw stable in application
• a very popular, cost-effective cake mix but for a really good sponge mix for novelty cakes etc we recommend the Craigmillar Madeira Mix
• please only order MacPhie brand Madeira mix if you have used it before - it's fantastic value but we are being honest in stating that it's not just as good as Craigmillar Madeira Mix

• ingredients:  sugar, wheat flour, vegetable oil, dried egg yolk, dried egg white, whey powder, modified starch, emulsifiers E477, E471*, E481, raising agents E450, E500, salt, stabiliser E464, wheat gluten, flavouring
• *E471 is a synthetic fat made from glycerols and fatty acids, mainly of plant origin but as E471 is composed of several different products, the manufacturers cannot rule out the presence of some animal fats - as pork fat may be one of the fats used, we would advise vegan, Muslim and Jewish customers not to order this product
