16 inch large white Poly Dowels from Poly-Dowels®
- Poly-Dowels® are hugely popular in the USA for multi-tiered cake support
- the patented channel design gives cakes amazing stability and support while remaining very easy to cut and conform to your individual design needs

for use as an internal support when stacking multi-tiered cakes
- the internal channel is designed for the purpose of supporting the heavy weight of multi-tiered cakes using proper vertical dowelling technique inside each tier of the cake
- disposable (single-use suggested) although can be cleaned and re-used to reduce plastic waste

- better strength (reinforced internal channels) and better price than PME Easy Cut dowels
- use alongside smaller Poly-Dowels for super strong support for heavy fruit or multi-tiered cakes
- Poly-Dowels are made using medical grade virgin polypropylene - they don't crack when cut and they're 100% food approved, unlike the copies now appearing from the Far East
- PLEASE NOTE the photo and info shown by other retailers with 3-4 small poly-dowels fitted inside large polydowels is nonsense - Marguerite who owns Poly-Dowels® confirms that this information is incorrect and misleading, and that each size of polydowel is intended to be used on its own, although we acknowledge that you can insert a couple of smaller inside the large Poly Dowel if you feel you need additional support
- uniquely, Poly Dowels allow the cake to pass through them instead of compressing the cake like conventional, solid dowels so there is less chance of the icing cracking or looking untidy
- approx 40.5cm / 405mm / 16" long - although size is approximate and we've found some to be nearer 15¾" - this is because US inches and Imperial inches are very slightly different
- approx 5/8" / 14-15mm diameter
- can be cut to exact length with junior hacksaw, hose cutters or our little Eezee Dowels cutting tool
