• TOP TIP - many customers contact Cake Stuff looking for larger 16" or 18" versions but Napier do NOT make this particular colour/shape combination in in any other sizes.  We have trade customers who use 16" cake boards on the bottom tiers of their wedding cakes and they always use Napier bases - a 16" cake board will overhang by only 1" all around.  This both looks good (balanced) and is perfectly safe

• UPDATE - Napier now state that stands are 'disposable and intended for single use'. They're the manufacturers so that's obviously the official line but, having sold Napier stands for over 30 years, we have to point out to our customers that we disagree . . . you do not put cakes directly on to the cake stand, therefore it is not a food-contact item. Over time they will, of course, get scratched and grubby so simply replace when you feel the time has come. If you agree with Napier then, great, that means you'll order a new Napier stand from us for every cake you make (!) but if you agree with us, then you can use over and over again until you feel the time has come to replace with a new one
• FURTHER UPDATE - the latest version of the stands has a circular hole in the centre of the top of the stand - this removes the risk of any raised or 'bumpy' plastic in the very centre, plus many have a small circular area where the black of the base plastic shows through - this is where the suction cup held the stand while it was being sprayed.  Both of these little flaws are 'features' of manufacture and are not faults - they are, of course, covered by the cake board so never seen - see pic 2
• the occasional tiny flaw in the paint or lacquer is to be expected and not considered a defect
