• for best results use use with royal icing, chilled ganache or buttercream for a slightly raised relief effect
• also works perfectly on a dry, firm surface such as sugarpaste or modelling paste

• ANGELA'S TIPS: 1. chill the cake at least 10 minutes before stencil application, 2. stabilise the stencil using pins to secure the stencil to the cake so it doesn’t move, 3. ensure cake is sitting flat / straight / even and that stencil is in full contact with the cake without any spaces, 4. use royal icing / buttercream / ganache to fill open spaces, scraping it down to leave the same thickness as the stencil, 5. have patience . . . no peeking! Wait until the excess icing has been scraped off before lifting the stencil
• use a flexible scraper to spread the icing or buttercream
• if you don't fancy the royal icing method you can also use by simply applying colouring direct to the stencil - ideal for dust & powder colours, metallic colourings & edible paints, royal icing, edible lustre colourings and airbrushing
• for smaller areas apply using a good quality sugarcraft dusting brush
• for larger areas designs are probably best applied by airbrush
• for even more detail, try icing colouring pens
• the black and white image shows the actual pattern created - the black areas represent the icing
• durable and resistant to tears and stains
• reusable countless times when a little care is taken handling the stencils
• although extremely well made, the nature of laser-cutting means there may be the odd little piece of design that hasn't been removed completely, so we advise inspecting the stencil prior to use and using a sugarcraft trim knife to do tidy if necessary
