- we all want to see less disposable plastic being used, so here's a new kind of cake board to try...
- Eco cake cards are completely biodegradable and environmentally-friendly
- completely free of plastic content - an eco-friendly alternative to PE poly-coated cake cards
- 100% recyclable, biodegradable and compostable
- 0% plastic content
- the idea is that if these little cards prove popular, Cutie Pie will trial thicker versions to give cake makers more environmentally friendly cake board options in future
- grease and moisture resistant
- can be used in the oven and freezer
- no foil coating means they're safe for use in a microwave
- 'cut edge' - among the thinnest cake boards we stock but still surprisingly strong
- ideal for cupcakes, light sponges, desserts etc or as an invisible base between cake tiers
- approx 6" / 15.24cm / 152.4mm diameter
- classed as 1mm thick but stacked thousands high, so they compress slightly
- plain white finish
- because of the time picking and packing just 1 board, you'll see the price becomes much better the more you order, with price breaks for ordering 10, 50 and 100 - great value for busy cake makers
- sprayed with a flavourless, antibacterial wax - the safest cake boards available in the UK today
- we recommend you wipe before use
- PLEASE REMEMBER - cut edge cards are among the thinnest cake boards we stock - larger sizes are liable to bend under the weight of cake - we also stock various thicker cake boards
- for decorated cakes we recommend single thick cards, double thick cards, hardboard cake cards or ½" thick cake drums
- PLEASE NOTE - cake boards are traditionally hand finished so please allow a certain amount of variation in accurate size and finish; small folds, creases, scratches, bends and dents are features occasionally found in the hand-finished product and are not considered faults
