375g pot of clear liquid glucose sugar syrup from Squire's Kitchen
- use to soften texture of icing, to add volume, prevent sugar crystalizing and to retain moisture
- add to modelling paste and modelling chocolate to add 'stretch'
- especially useful if using a cheaper supermarket style brands of fondant icing* or marzipan - adding a little liquid glucose will help avoid the icing cracking and forming elephant skin
- controls the formation of sugar crystals when making frozen cakes and desserts, and in confectionery
- * for best results use a professional quality sugarpaste icing
- aka corn syrup - especially in American cake decorating books
- 375g resealable pot
- BBE normally at least 12 months - use within 6 months once opened
