Abrasive marks and surface scratches from manufacture are normal and not considered faults. Any such marks will not affect the performance of the cake tin in any way. Manufacturers do not recommend dishwasher use as steel wire edges can show signs of surface rust - dry thoroughly and wipe with cooking oil before storing away for years of service
