• Easy Cut dowels are thinner than so not quite as strong as Poly-Dowels, but they're designed to be easier to cut using scissors, craft knife or our little Poly-Dowels cutting tool
• white, 100% food approved plastic - smooth outer surface
• approx 40cm / 400mm / 16" long
• approx 1cm / 10mm / just under ½" diameter
• slightly confusing name(s) - PME call them Hollow Pillars, Hidden Pillars and Easy Cut Dowels but most cake makers know them as Hollow Dowels
• designed to give additional support to multi tier cakes
• watch the little YouTube video for some tips and ideas - this video is for PME Hollow Hidden Pillars but the technique is really the same
• our customers tell us not quite as good as Poly-Dowels, but PME is a good brand with lots of fans plus these come retail packed, which we appreciate some customers may prefer
• the main difference is Poly-Dowels have a unique channel design that makes them stronger than standard hollow dowels
• the PME EasyCut dowels work out at around 43p each, compared to 40p for the stronger 16" Poly-Dowel if buying just 8 - the price for 16" Poly-Dowel reduces to 28p when buying bulk, and as low as 23p for Trade & Wholesale customers
