• don't be confused - the translated name 'Sugar Plus' is a bit unfortunate, as Isomalt does not contain any sugar(!)
• this is a great alternative to Squires Kitchen Clear Isomalt, especially as supplies have been unreliable recently
• Isomalt is a sugar-free alternative for biscuit and cookie centres and for really eye catching cake decorating applications
• sets to a semi-transparent finish resembling stained glass
• 'clear' refers to fact that no colour is added - this will NOT set crystal clear, especially if any humidity is present - colorless Isomalt can be coloured with care
• use by pouring and setting, with moulds or with spun and pulled sugar techniques
• add approx 10ml water per 500g Isomalt for a dry hand-worked paste more suited to blown or spun sugar work techniques
• heat on the hob, in the oven or microwave
• pre-tempered so it can be easily melted in the microwave
• Isomalt is a sugar substitute produced by treating sugar beet with enzymes
