IMPORTANT - this type of product (all brands) works because it is 100% pure propellant stored under pressure to keep it at a very low temperature. As the propellant gas escapes it is still at a very low temperature and this is what causes the cooling action. The gas simply cools and escapes into the atmosphere - there is no actual ingredient that stays on the product. The gas is not edible and should not be inhaled or ingested in any form, but the product can be used safely on edible products . . . some retailers describe as 'edible' so we thought we should explain!
