Standard delivery (UK mainland)

If you choose the Standard Shipping option, we will aim to deliver your order within 3-4 working days at most

My delivery has not arrived at the time DPD/Yodel advised

DPD and Yodel timed deliveries are normally exceptionally efficient so if they've missed a delivery slot, it could because of local roads or weather issues.  Check your last email and/or text from them - click on the link to track your order via their website or app using this consignment number or phone them on  0121 275 0500 (DPD) or 0344 755 0117 (Yodel)

In most cases, Cake Stuff cannot contact the courier on your behalf as we do not know if you have given any special instructions (e.g. courier 'In-Flight' options).  It is always much faster for you to contact the couriers direct as you will probably speak to someone in your own area but if, after speaking to the couriers, you have not received any help please get in touch with us using the Contact Form below - just please be aware that, because we're not the recipient, it will take much longer for us to find out information than if you contact them directly

Where is my delivery?

As soon as your order is shipped, we will send you an automated email to let you know.  This email lets you know how your order is being delivered.  If your order is being delivered by DPD or Yodel, you will also receive an email and/or text from them confirming delivery date and time.  Both these emails contain important information that you will need if you need to track your order

In most cases, Cake Stuff cannot contact the courier on your behalf as we do not know if you have given any special instructions (eg courier 'In-Flight' options).  It is always much faster for you to contact the couriers direct as you will probably speak to someone in your own area who can track the delivery van and who also knows about any local road / weather disruption.  If, after speaking to the couriers, you have received any help please get in touch with us using the Contact Form below - just please be aware that, because we're not the recipient, it will take much longer for us to find out information than if you contact them directly

  • Yodel - some UK mainland orders are delivered by Yodel. Your automated email from Cake Stuff includes the consignment number, how many boxes you should expect and may offer a range of 'In-Flight' options to help you manage your delivery. You can track your order via the Yodel website or app using this consignment number or phone them on 0344 755 0117
  • DPD - most UK and European orders are delivered by DPD. Watch for your email and/or text from DPD which includes the consignment number, how many boxes you should expect and may offer a range of 'In-Flight' options to help you manage your delivery. You can track your order via the DPD website or app using this consignment number or phone them on 0121 275 0500
  • Hermes - small, light orders may be delivered by Hermes. Watch for your email and/or text from Hermes which includes the consignment number. If undelivered, delivery drivers should leave a card to advise that they attempted delivery but experience shows this does not always happen. You can track your order via the Hermes website using this consignment number or phone them on 0330 808 5456

Log into your Cake Stuff account and you'll be able to view your Order History, including details of your latest order

How can I manage my delivery?

As soon as your order has been shipped we'll automatically send you an email to let you know.  Soon after, you'll receive an email / text from DPD or Yodel that will include some handy 'In-Flight' delivery options.  Not going to be in?  No problem! 

Using the 'In-Flight' options, you can arrange to have your order re-delivered at another time, on another day, left with a neighbour, left in a specified safe place or delivered to a local Pick-Up Store - your email / text will include a list of available stores

IMPORTANT - please understand that any instructions you give the courier via In-Flight options are completely between you and them.  Cake Stuff will know nothing about them nor can we contact the courier on your behalf regarding them or any subsequent delivery issues

Can I arrange delivery for a Saturday or Sunday?

For orders placed after 3:00pm on a Thursday and before 3:00pm on a Friday, there are additional options at checkout for SATURDAY or SUNDAY EXPRESS delivery.

For orders placed at other times of the week we cannot show the SATURDAY / SUNDAY EXPRESS options at checkout, but watch for your email / text alerts from DPD or Yodel as this includes handy 'In-Flight' delivery options.  Using these options, you can arrange a Saturday or Sunday delivery direct with the courier.  This In-Flight option is available on all DPD deliveries except for orders shipped on a Friday. Please note, only DPD offer a Sunday delivery.

IMPORTANT - please understand that any upgrades or other instructions you give DPD or Yodel via In-Flight options are completely between you and them.  Cake Stuff will know nothing about them nor can we contact the courier on your behalf regarding them or any subsequent delivery issues

I have chosen the wrong delivery address

If you have supplied an incorrect delivery address at which no-one will be able to accept delivery, please watch for your email / text alert from DPD or Yodel

This includes handy 'In-Flight' options that enable you to make changes to your delivery . . . you can change delivery address, the delivery date / time, request the order be left with a neighbour, in a specified safe place or at a Pick-Up Store within your local area

PayPal store all the delivery addresses you have ever used and, occasionally, may overwrite the address you supply with one of these stored addresses. This is a PayPal issue and not something Cake Stuff can do anything about. To prevent this from happening, we always advise customers to log into their PayPal accounts and delete any old addresses

If DPD or Yodel have your order and you do not want it to be delivered to the address supplied, we can arrange for it to be returned to us and re-delivered to the correct address

Please note all carriers charge us for both the return and re-delivery and we need to pass on both these charges to the customer

Can I upgrade to a faster delivery option?

We can't normally change an order in any way after you complete checkout but if you've realised you need your order sooner than planned please contact us using the Contact Form below right away requesting an upgrade to Express Shipping.

Depending on the courier option you've chosen at checkout, if it's possible we will email you a link to a page on our website where you can 'buy' the Express Upgrade

UK non-mainland delivery

Cake Stuff do not charge more to deliver to customers in Northern Ireland, on Scottish islands or other UK offshore islands than for customers on the mainland.  The couriers all charge extra but Cake Stuff is happy to cover these extra charges for you

In most cases, delivery timescales may be 1-2 days more than for mainland addresses but faster Priority and Express shipping options may also be available at checkout to customers in certain postcode areas

UK mainland - remote areas delivery

Cake Stuff do not charge more to deliver to customers in areas of the UK mainland classed as 'remote' by courier companies.  The couriers all charge extra but Cake Stuff is happy to cover these extra charges for you

Saturday & Sunday Express delivery (UK mainland)

If you place an order between 3:00pm Thursday - 7:00pm Friday you will also be offered 'Saturday Express' and 'Sunday Express' delivery options at checkout

Please note this is not the same as our normal 'Express Shipping' option (see above).  We do not charge any premium as it is not a guaranteed service - we simply pass on the cost from DPD or Yodel

If DPD / Yodel fail to attempt delivery on the agreed day then we're happy to claim against them and credit you for the Saturday / Sunday element of the delivery charge, but please remember our Customer Service team is not here at weekends to help with any delivery questions so please, please, pretty-please watch for your email and text alerts from the couriers confirming your delivery time slot and ensure someone is in to accept the delivery

For all orders being delivered by DPD or Yodel couriers, you'll receive an email and/or text alert with various 'In-Flight' options.  These include upgrading to a Saturday or Sunday delivery for only £5, so if you've placed your order on a day where the Saturday Express / Sunday Express options were not available at checkout, you can still upgrade to a weekend delivery.  Please note this upgrade may only be available in certain areas of the UK mainland

  

Express delivery (UK mainland)

If you place your order before 7:00pm on a working day and choose the Express Shipping option, we guarantee to ship your order the same day.  For the vast majority of orders this means your order will be delivered the next working day

The 7:00pm cut-off point is automated and 'strict' - we are unable to guarantee that any Express order placed after 7:00pm will be shipped that evening.  Please remember if paying by PayPal that there can often be a delay while they review payment, so even although you order before 7:00pm we may not receive your confirmed order (once PayPal have paid us) until after the cut-off time

Yodel do not actually 'guarantee' a next day delivery, due to circumstances outwith their control (adverse weather, incidents on the national road network etc).  However, Cake Stuff do offer a guarantee that should your order arrive late, we will credit your Cake Stuff account with the Express Shipping charge paid.  Please note that this is the full extent of the guarantee

Priority delivery (UK mainland)

If you choose the Priority Shipping option, we will aim to deliver your order within 2-3 working days at most

Please note that, unlike our Express Shipping option (above), this is not a guaranteed service although we monitor the performance of our delivery partners and 96%-97% of orders arrive on time

Priority Shipping attracts a small premium over and above the normal delivery charge for your weight of order - this covers everything involved in providing faster shipping and any additional courier charges

I've only received part of my delivery

If your order has been shipped in more than one box it is not uncommon for the couriers to deliver different boxes on different vans at different times of the day

Check your last emails and / or texts from DPD or Yodel and use the link to track your delivery

  • DPD - track your order via the DPD website or app using this consignment number or phone them on 0121 275 0500
  • Yodel - track your order via the Yodel website or app using this consignment number or phone them on 0344 755 0117
  • Hermes - track your order via the Hermes website using this consignment number or phone them on 0330 808 5456

In almost all cases this will confirm that the balance of your order is being delivered at a different time
