Foam Pads
Foam pads, aka Petal pads or Mexican Pads, are essential pieces of kit when using many sugarcraft flower cutters as they allow the ejected paste to shaped naturally - especially when used with a ball tool, bone tool or similar

The FMM Firm Foam Former Pad is the firmest and our best selling pad.? The Jem Petal Pad and shaped Mexican Pad, from South Africa, are slightly softer but still excellent quality.? PME offer a pack of 2 pads, which are still softer than the FMM Firm Foam Former and we also stock the Jem Roller Pad which is for use with intricately detailed sugar flowers
As with many pieces of sugarcraft equipment, the differences between brands and designs can be very slight so it's often down to personal preference - either of a favourite brand or because you've always used a certain product
Petal or Flower Pads tend to have a plain surface whereas Mexican and Roller Pads have holes to allow you to work with shaped and wired flowers
