New rules about how your personal information is stored

You may have heard about the new GDPR regulations that come into force in May 2018.  The story has been widely covered by TV, radio and newspapers

What it all boils down to is that the way companies store, access and use your personal information is being tightened up - and quite rightly too

The new GDPR regulations require us to ask every customer if you agree to us continuing to store the personal information you provided when registering as a Cake Stuff customer, and if you agree to us using your email address for newsletters or us sending you the occasional special offer by post.  We simply need you to refresh your agreement so that we can comply with the new GDPR regulations

Cake Stuff operates to a strict ethical policy and we have as many safeguards in place to protect your personal information as is reasonably possible - here are a few facts we hope will put your mind at ease . . .

  • Cake Stuff store the personal information you provided when registering as a customer in a safe and secure manner at all times
  • Cake Stuff never store your debit or credit card information
  • Cake Stuff use industry-leading payment providers to process your payments - these include SagePay, Lloyds Cardnet and PayPal.  These companies, in turn, also have to comply with the new regulations
  • Cake Stuff only pass on the appropriate personal information to our delivery partners who require it to deliver your order - these include DPD, APC, Royal Mail and other fulfilment & delivery partners we may use from time to time. These fulfilment & delivery partners, in turn, also have to comply with the new regulations
  • You can opt out of email newsletters at any time by clicking on 'unsubscribe' at the bottom of any Cake Stuff email newsletter or by visiting your Preferences Page here.
  • You can cancel your Cake Stuff account at any time and we will delete your personal information other than what is required by tax and accounting legislation
  • Cake Stuff never sell your personal information to anyone - never ever!
  • Cake Stuff have taken all the necessary steps to be fully GDPR compliant
