We greatly value orders from customers on the other side of the Irish Sea, but shipping has always proved expensive. In an effort to get better value for our customers, we are trialling two new courier services which do not show up on the site just yet . . . "NI BY ROAD" and "EIRE BY ROAD".
N.I. BY ROAD allows us to ship up to 10kg in multiple parcels to any Northern Ireland postcode (except offshore islands) for only £16.95. This works out far less expensive than equivalent Royal Mail services at this weight. Perfect for heavy orders which include sugarpaste and/or marzipan as these can be boxed separately from fragile items. Delivery is normally within 2-3 working days and a signature is required.
Smaller, lighter orders are shipped by Royal Mail at exactly the same cost as to anywhere else within the UK.
EIRE BY ROAD allows us to ship up to 10kg in multiple parcels to Republic of Ireland (mainland) address for only £19.95. This is far less expensive than equivalent Royal Mail Air Mail services which have a 2kg parcel limit. Perfect for heavier orders which include sugarpaste and/or marzipan as these can be boxed separately from fragile items.
It also means that items prohibited from aircraft and items too large for Air Mail can be included in your order . . . PME sprays (aerosols), marzipan, large cake boards, boxes and cake stands. Delivery is normally within 3-5 working days and a signature is required. Smaller, lighter orders are posted Air Mail.
Until the trial has been completes these services do not appear on the site, so to take advantage of them please choose PAY BY PHONE option at checkout. Your shipping costs will appear much higher on your order but don't worry - this is because the site is still calculating at Royal Mail / Air Mail rates. When you phone us to pay we will apply the new, lower rates.

ONE MORE IMPORTANT NOTE FOR CUSTOMERS IN EIRE. . . currently, the site assumes your order will be sent by Air Mail so will prevent you ordering certain items banned on aircraft (eg aerosols, marzipan) and items which exceed the Air Mail limit of 2kg. If you encounter this problem please SAVE your basket and give us a call. We'll be happy to talk you through a very simple solution.
