cake-stuff.com recommend using paste / gel icing colourings for most sugarcraft uses but we agree that there is occasionally the need to use a good quality liquid colouring.
Liquid colourings have received a bad press over the years, mainly because of supermarket style liquids . . . you know the ones in the little bottles(!). Basically they are just diluted pastes and although they appear cheap and cheerful, you're just paying for water and packaging. We've lost count of the number of times a desperate customer has got in touch looking for help because they've ruined their child's birthday cake - the icing all soggy and unworkable because they've poured in more and more cheap liquid colouring in the hope they will achieve the proper colour.
For royal icing, dipping solutions, painting and airbrushing etc you'll often find that liquids are better, so we're happy to now also offer Sugarflair Droplet Tints.
Sugarflair droplet tint liquid colourings are, in our honest opinion, the best range of liquid icing colourings you can buy today. They are very concentrated (for liquids) and come in handy droplet style plastic bottles which help apply the colouring accurately and also prevent any risk of cross-contamination between colours. Many times more concentrated than supermarket icing colourings, these liquids go a long way and a 14ml bottle could easily last for many months.
Please just remember that by their nature they can never give just as strong or vibrant colours (especially darker shades) as paste or gel colourings.
Sugarflair icing colourings are fat free, nut free, gluten free, GM free, are certified Kosher and are suitable for vegetarians. Says it all really . . . the best colourings you'll ever buy.As you browse through the colourings, please be sure you are purchasing the correct product as we cannot accept the return of colourings (even if unopened) for food safety reasons. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Please remember colours shown on this site are limited by photography and shades may appear to vary on different PC monitors. Please also be aware that most white sugarpaste icing already contains blue colouring so adding further colouring may result in a different shade being produced. If using with royal icing, even different eggs can alter the final shades slightly.
If, over time, you find your liquid colourings begin to dry out simply add a little Rejuvenator Spirit, a food-grade iso-propyl alcohol, to extend the life of your colourings and save you some money.
