This is one category where our input isn't really required . . . in other words, it's up to you!

Confession time . . . we may sell thousands of cake decorating items every week but we're not exactly great bakers ourselves . . . Jean can make a bran loaf, although the smoke alarm is usually set off at least twice and we've all been trying to explain to Lisa that Pizza doesn't really count as baking.

Two glimmers of hope are that (1) Heather (our daughter - age 13) really enjoys baking and can now create a fantastic sponge or chocolate sponge without any supervision, which can mean a lovely surprise for Dad getting home from work late although not so good for his waistline(!), and (2) Lindsay has been trying her hand at making novelty cakes for family recently and getting some fantsastic results . . . discovering a real hidden talent.

So, we'll maybe (just maybe) put some of our efforts on display for you to have a laugh at, but meantime please email your pics.  We'll try to add a few every week as well as some of the craziest cake pictures we can find from around the world.
