We offer 2 shipping options (these apply to UK mainland and some UK non-mainland addresses): "Best Rate" and "Express".
"Best Rate" is for non-urgent orders where you understandably want to pay as little in shipping costs as possible - we have negotiated excellent rates with specialist carriers and can deliver up to 20kg to mainland addresses for only £6.95. The idea of "best rate" shipping is based on similar flat-rate services offered by Amazon and other leading on-line retailers. "Best Rate" is the service used by most of our regular customers and is free of charge on orders over £75.
Stock permitting, we aim to deliver these orders inside 14 days at most.
We monitor this every week and are delivering 90% of orders well before this, but please allow up to 14 days . . . 75% of all orders are shipped within the first 3-5 working days. Your order may include a special order item, so we would wait until this arrived and ship all items together to keep shipping costs to a minimum for you.
"Express Shipping" is obviously for urgent orders. We use Special Delivery for small / light orders and a 24 hour courier service for heavy orders. Express orders are given priority every morning and normally ship inside 48 hours for delivery within a week. Again, 90% arrive in only 2-3 days but allow up to a week. If an item is out-of-stock or a special order item, we'll phone to let you know.
Free Delivery is available on orders over £75 but only using Best Rate shipping - not Express Shipping.
If you choose Express Shipping and use the FREEDEL75 coupon, please note the site will accept the coupon but we cannot treat your order as an Express order. Please be aware of this when ordering - if you choose free delivery we will use "Best Rate" shipping timescales.
This is important - we don't want to offend anyone, least of all a customer, but please understand that when you order through this website you're accepting the Conditions we offer. We're honest people and work long, long hours to pack and ship orders as quickly as possible, but the timescales stated are deemed to be acceptable to you if you go ahead and place an order. Please, we beg you, do not choose "Best Rate" shipping and then add a comment saying something like "I need order for this Friday". This simply puts in in a Catch22 position.
To be fair to all customers, we ship orders in the same order in which we receive them. Only "Express" orders are given priority, and we make sure that dealing with Express orders never holds up any other orders.
We're not trying to be awkward or unhelpful . . . the reason for having to stick rigidly to this system is so that no-one jumps the queue and that we can ship even more orders sooner than expected. Our aim is to continually reduce delivery times for all orders, but cannot do this while some customers are asking to jump the queue.
If the order is urgent - please choose Express Shipping. We hope you'll understand.
