FREE DELIVERY OFFERS and SHIPPING OPTIONS explained . . .
Many companies offer free delivery for larger orders and we're happy to do likewise - but there's a little "problem" . . . our prices are so low to begin with that to also offer free delivery is not always viable. So, for example, competitors who offer free delivery over £50 have substantially higher prices than us, so (and I realise I'm over-simplifying the maths slightly) they could make as much profit from £50 as we make from £75 with our much lower prices. We're therefore happy to offer free / discounted delivery on UK orders over £75.
UK customers have 3 codes / coupons to choose from at checkout on orders over £75 . . . please can we ask you to remember this is an OFFER, not an entitlement?!?!? You must claim the offer so if you don't enter the correct code at checkout the site will charge shipping as normal and (as with any on-line offer of this nature) we cannot refund retrospectively.

This code applies to all deliveries to Northern Ireland, Scottish islands, Isle of Man, Channel islands, Isle of Wight, other UK offshore islands, Orkney, Shetland, and BFPO addresses.
Please remember if you enter the wrong code at checkout the site may accept it, but we cannot ship your order until we've managed to contact you to arrange payment of any shipping balance. Please ensure your choice of shipping option and discount coupon match up.

Timescales first . . .
We offer 2 shipping options (these apply to UK mainland and some UK non-mainland addresses): "Best Rate" and "Express".
"Best Rate" is for non-urgent orders where you understandably want to pay as little in shipping costs as possible. "Best Rate" is the service used by most of our regular customers and is free of charge on orders over £75 to UK mainland addresses and with £5 discount to UK non-mainland addresses.
Stock permitting, we aim to ship these orders within 7 days for delivery inside 14 days at the very most. Most orders arrive within a couple of days after shipping but we have to quote 14 days because we have many customers not on the UK mainland, where delivery by Royal Mail can take a few days.
"Express Shipping" is for urgent orders. We use Royal Mail Special Delivery for small / light orders and a 24 hour courier service for heavy orders. Express orders are given priority every morning and often ship same day, but certainly inside 48 hours. Virtually all Express Shipping orders arrive within 48 hours (most arrive next day) but allow up to a week depending on where in the UK you live. If an item is out-of-stock or a special order item, we'll phone to let you know. We do not advertise a "next day" service as this depends too much on customer destination and the delivery service in that particular area - factors outwith our control but we do try to ship Express Shipping orders for next day delivery if humanly possible.
This is important - we don't want to offend anyone, least of all a customer, so please understand that when you order through this website you're accepting the conditions we offer. We're honest people and work long, long hours to pack and ship orders as quickly as possible, but the timescales stated are deemed to be acceptable to you if you go ahead and place an order. Please, we beg you, do not choose "Best Rate" shipping and then add a comment saying something like "I need order for this Friday". If the order is urgent - please choose Express Shipping. We hope you'll understand.
FREE DELIVERY CODES . . .
If your order is over £75 and you'd like to enjoy free or discounted delivery, please use the correct code at checkout. If you enter the incorrect code, the site may still process your order but we can't ship until we've managed to contact you and arranged for any balance to be paid.
FREE DELIVERY is available only to UK mainland customers because of the fixed price courier charge. Unfortunately we cannot absorb the much higher Royal Mail charges for heavier orders going to non-mainland addresses, especially as larger orders often have to be shipped in more than one box. However, we are happy to apply a £5 discount.
