2013 Charity Project
With the generous support of our customers, Cake Stuff charity projects have so far helped build bridges to benefit communities in Malawi, supported the work of the Salvation Army and Loaves & Fishes with homeless people in Glasgow and we've even helped get a team to Everest Base Camp in support of WhoCares Scotland?, who workwith children and young people in care.
This year our project will be to help support Epilepsy Connections and the excellent work they do. It's a cause close to our hearts here at Cake Stuff and when our new website goes live around Easter you'll see a very easy, convenient and inexpensive way of helping. Watch this space!

LATEST DELIVERY TIMESCALES: 99.2%* of "Best Rate Shipping" orders were delivered within 7 days and 99.7% of "Express Shipping" orders within 48 hours (97.3% within 24 hours).
* the only reason we can't deliver 100% within 7 days is because some orders are shipped to customers outwith the UK mainland so have to be sent by Royal Mail so depending on weekends, bank holidays etc a handful of these can arrive outwith 7 days. Figures taken from period November 2012 to January 2012. Timescales quoted apply to UK customers and calculated to first attempted delivery in cases where the customer was not home and the order had to be re-delivered on another date.

EVEREST BASE CAMP . . . (2012 charity project)
THEY MADE IT ! ! !
Building on the success of last year's charity project, this year's project was a little closer to home. Two of our own team flew out to Nepal last October for 17 day's trek to Mount Everest Base Camp.
Cameron (16) and his Grandad Willie (age undisclosed) would like to thank customers and suppliers who helped support this adventure through sponsorship, donations and messages of support and goodwill.
Here they are at Everest Base Camp: 17,500ft above sea level on the roof of the world, giving the brand new Cake Stuff logo is first public viewing . . . not sure who was there to see it, though!

Cameron and Wul and both now safely home, looking pretty exhausted and a few pounds lighter than when they set off. Everyone here at Cake Stuff is very proud of them and delighted that they made it to Base Camp. It was no easy undertaking and we know they will always look back on this adventure with a real sense of achievement.
Almost £100,000 was raised in sponsorship for Who Cares? Scotland, a worthy organisation offering advice, advocacy, support and (crucially) a voice to children and young people in care who, by nature of their circumstances, are often vulnerable; and also for Community Action Nepal, who work to improve the lives of the proud mountain communuties in the world's poorest country outside Africa.

"How much will it cost to delivery my order?"
Since Royal Mail's massive price increase (April 2012) the cost of posting small, lighter orders has increased. P&P now starts from £3.95 but for orders between 1kg and 20kg, "Best Rate Shipping" is only £6.95 and FREE on orders worth over £75 (UK mainland up to 20kg).
This £6.95 rate applies no matter how many boxes we send your order in, so we can pack fragile items separately from heavy items like sugarpaste, helping to ensure everything arrives in great condition. For non-mainland and non-UK orders, heavier orders and "Express Shipping" orders, the site will automatically calculate the shipping costs based on order weight and your destination.
You'll see this cost at checkout before you're asked to confirm your order.
